Cait Kirby – National Placements Manager
As we officially kick off the 2025-26 financial year, I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of our Associates for your incredible contributions over the past 12 months. It’s been a wonderfully unpredictable year – never quite knowing which client might call or what support they’d need, but always confident that someone in our Associate network could provide the right solution. And you didn’t disappoint!
While our core placements in Councils remained strong, we also saw increased interest from local water authorities and not-for-profit organisations, helping to broaden the reach and impact of our work across sectors.
Though Capital Works activity slowed last year due to the election cycle, we’re expecting the demand for project managers to bounce back earlier than usual, with Councils eager to hit the ground running in 2025–26.
As part of CT’s evolving internal capability, I’m also thrilled to welcome Esther, our new Business Relationships Manager. Esther brings a focused, strategic lens to growing placement opportunities, specifically leveraging data insights, online marketing, and targeted outreach to showcase the exceptional talent within our network. Among many other focus areas, we will be working closely to expand the placements footprint in New South Wales and Queensland. If you’re open to interstate opportunities, or know someone we should be speaking with, we’d love to hear from you.
Finally, thank you to everyone who completed the annual Associate Survey – we received a record number of responses! Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and I look forward to working with our newly formed Associate Management Working Group to review and action your suggestions wherever possible.
Before I sign off, just a quick note that I’ll be heading to Canada for the month of July to escape the winter chill and spend time with family. In my absence, Brayden Dixon will be your main contact for placement support and will be in touch if any suitable opportunities arise. I look forward to reconnecting upon my return!
