Associates Collaborate for a Great Result

Alf Della Monica – Regional Manager VIC/TAS

CT Management Group has been working with the City of Darebin on several asset management projects since the beginning of 2022.

This has included the development of the Asset Plan, NAMAF Assessment, Asset Data Hierarchy Assessment, and the development of individual Asset Management Plans.

Throughout the process, a number of our Associates have collaborated to achieve some great results and are in fact continuing to do so as you read this.

The new Local Government Act 2020 in Victoria for the first time requires each Council to adopt an Asset Plan (s. 92) which includes information on maintenance, renewal, acquisition, expansion, upgrade, disposal and decommissioning in relation to each class of infrastructure asset.

ProjectWorks – Associate Invoicing

Brayden Dixon – Assistant Accountant

I would like to thank all associates once again for the ongoing feedback we’ve received whilst using ProjectWorks.

We request where possible using ProjectWorks daily to record timesheets and expenses, so that this information is ready to go at the conclusion of the current month.

As CT Management Group follows a monthly invoicing process, can all associates please notify us through email (admin@ctman.com.au) that you have made timesheet and expense entries on the last day of that month in which you have been working.

This will allow me to send a recipient created invoice to those who have notified me that you may have only worked until the middle of the month.

NSW – Case Study: Kempsey Shire Council – Aquatic Facilities Condition Assessment and Analysis Report

Jarrod Bryant – Regional Manager NSW

CT Management was appointed to undertake a condition assessment and analysis report project for Kempsey Shire Council’s four (4) aquatic facilities in late-June 2022.

CT won the project off the back of developing a strong and multi-faceted proposal which combined CT’s Associate and Alliance partner resources to address the mix of elements within the scope.

The asset condition assessment software was set-up by CT Alliance Partner Asset Vision.  CT Associate Peter Dunn then conducted the condition assessments and provided analysis commentary for each of the 4 sites using the Asset Vision software.  The overall analysis report was then developed by CT Regional Manager/Associate Jarrod Bryant, and CT Director/Associate Owen Harvey.

Taungurung Land Use Activity Agreement.2020 (Victoria)

Malcolm McKenzie – National Placements Manager

Kerim Sijercic (Associate at Murrindindi) has attended a briefing by the Taungurung Land & Waters Council on referrals required under the Taungurung Land Use Activity Agreement.

This is one of two such agreements in place within Victoria with more likely to follow, the other being the Dia Dia Wurrung Land Use Activity Agreement. It effectively makes the Taungurung Land & Waters Council a referral authority for any works done on Crown Land and includes fees and timelines to be followed.

This information is provided to alert Associates who may be required to undertake project work on Crown land, to be aware of the requirements of these Agreements.

A Message from the Managing Director – August 2022

A message from the Managing Director

Economic Environment & Local Government

The economic environment we are currently experiencing is unique – concurrent record low unemployment, low interest rates and labour and skill shortages.

We also have experienced record growth in property market (record rates in regional Australia) coupled with a high growth rate in the share market, though this is starting to decline.

How will this environment impact demand for services from CT Management Group?

Let’s see if we can unravel this!

General outlook

Australia’s economic growth is expected to peak at 4.25% this financial year. Economy is growing at a faster rate than the global average of 3.75%, and ahead of the US and Europe, which helps explain why Australian shares have performed strongly.

Associate Inductions and OH&S

Malcolm McKenzie – National Placements Manager

Just a reminder of the importance of induction when commencing projects or placements. This not only helps Associates with understanding the systems and processes utilised by our respective clients but also matters relating to Occupational Health and Safety and any risks associated with performing the role.

Many of our clients will have different approaches to induction with some having formal systems in place which they proactively require new contractors to participate in, whilst others are less proactive in their expectations. The important thing is that during your pre-commencement communication with the client, you ask what are the induction requirements for commencement?
