Associates Day Wrap September 2025

Associates Day 2025 was held on the 25th September 2025 at Eden Oak, Geelong. The day provided the 60 delegates (Associates, Alliances, Managers and Staff) with an informative agenda with speakers providing the following information sessions.

Executive Chairman/Managing Director, Michael Courtney provided a summary of achievements to date in 2024-25 which includes a major rebranding and website update. Michael also outlined the financial challenges facing the local government sector which have an impact on business for CT Management Group.

Esther Roper, National Business Relationship Manager, provided a summary of the company’s Brand and Marketing Refresh Project which will be launched during November 2025. Esther shared a preview of the Associate Badge that will be part of the brand going forward.

Glenn Patterson, Non- Executive Director, gave a perspective on the current Local Government environment and the challenges facing councils. He also indicated how CT Management Group can plan future services and products to meet the market, and this can broaden the business opportunities for the company and associates.

Beck Henshall, Director, Beck Henshall Collaborations, provided a session on Wellbeing at Work- how we need to prioritise wellness as part of our daily routines, including a self-assessment, or techniques to renew wellbeing and setting of wellbeing habits.

Recognition of Retiring Associates – Michael Courtney recognised the service of retiring Associates, thanking them for their contribution to the company over many years of service.

Company Charitable Donation – Kerrie Procko, Director/Company Secretary announced that registration fees for the day had been matched by a company donation to Cancer Victoria. Esther Roper provided delegates with what this means to ongoing cancer treatment to many people, recounting her own cancer treatment to a period of remission as an example.

Jan Spinder, founder ConvergeIQ, spoke of how AI can empower government agencies, educational and small & medium sized organisations with cutting edge IT solutions and managed services. AI can assist us to do more with less. Jan left us with a question – Will AI replace humans? Humans using Ai will replace those that don’t!

Caitlin Kirby, National Placements Manager, provided a graphical view of CT Management Group’s Project and Placement activity including a profile of Associates skills and experience. Included in this presentation was the fact that currently 99% of our Associates are located in Victoria. The need for recruitment in other states was emphasised.
