Update to Directors

Update to Directors

Associates are advised as Directors of your Company, that the Australian Government along with the Australian Taxation Office have as part of its Digital Business Plan in 2020, announced the Modernising Business Registers (MBR) program. This program is to establish the Australian Business Registry Services (ABRS) to streamline how you register, view, and maintain your business information with the government as Directors.

The Director Identification Number became effective in November 2021 and all directors must apply for a Unique identifier.

Directors must apply for their own Director ID. It is free to apply and you will only ever have the single ID and this ID will be kept as long as you are a Director.

NSW Region News

Business Development

Recent and continuing reviews of NSW LGA 2021/22 Operational Plans has highlighted numerous opportunities where CT Management can generate further work and expand our client base. The challenge moving forward in NSW would appear to be gaining higher levels of recognition of CT Management Group as a ‘first port-of-call’ consultancy to contact when in the market for support.

The release of suitable tenders and quotations in NSW for CT Management to apply for in recent times has been limited. Thus, there is a strong need to further the level of recognition that prospective client Council’s have of CT Management Group so that they are inclined to make an enquiry with us if releasing opportunities to a limited field.

Your support will enable more efficient accounting and management of project and placement expenditure and provide our staff with up-to-date project costs against budgets.

Professional Engineers Registration (Victoria)

Professional Engineers Registration (Victoria)

The Victorian Government has also introduced the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019 from 1 July 2021, requiring Councils to undertake due diligence reviews of their operations to ensure compliance with the new Act.

Registration will be required for those Engineers who engage in “professional engineering services” and provides an important consumer-protection initiative that will give individuals and organisations confidence and assurance that the people they hire are properly trained and experienced and are maintaining their skills.

Associate Professional Engineers providing engineering opinion or advice will have to be registered from October 2022, so preparation needs to commence now in your transition to registration.
